At work we scan feet with proper hardware, so for the August hackathon I wanted to see how far you get with a webcam, a strip of addressable LEDs and a white board. Light one LED at a time, the foot throws a shadow, and enough shadows carve away everything that can’t be foot. No moving parts anywhere, which is the part I like.
